Appointments & estimates
Can I book an appointment online or by phone?
Yes, you can book using our online scheduler, or call us at (717) 562-1507 during business hours and we will find a time that works for you.
Do you provide estimates before starting repairs?
We explain the recommended work and provide an estimate for your approval before repairs begin. Diagnostic testing may carry a charge; any additional testing or teardown requires your approval.
How much do diagnostics cost?
Diagnostics start at $80, which covers up to one full hour of diagnostic time. Any additional time is billed at our standard hourly rate with your approval. A code scan alone is a separate, smaller service and does not include troubleshooting.

What auto repair services do you offer?
We offer full-service auto repair and maintenance, including PA state inspections and emissions, brake service, oil changes, diagnostics, engine repair, tune-ups, transmission repair, A/C service, battery replacement, suspension work, wheel alignments, new and used tires, and exhaust repair and welding.
Do you work on all makes and models?
Yes, we service all makes and models, including domestic, foreign, and European vehicles such as Toyota, Honda, Ford, Subaru, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Mazda, Hyundai, and more.
Inspections & maintenance
Are you a PA inspection station?
Yes, Harrisburg Auto Shop performs Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspections. We inspect according to PennDOT guidelines and issue your sticker once the vehicle passes.
How much is a PA state inspection?
A PA state inspection with emissions is $66.04. A safety inspection without emissions is $40, and emissions only is $26.04. Valid insurance and registration are required. If your vehicle needs repairs to pass, we give you an upfront estimate before doing any work.
How much do oil changes cost?
A conventional oil change is $50 and a synthetic oil change is $65. Both include up to 5 quarts and a standard oil filter for most vehicles. Euro, 0W-16, and diesel oil changes are priced separately.
Repair warranty & payment options
Do you offer warranties on repairs?
Most qualifying repairs are backed by a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty. Ask us which coverage applies to your repair. Vehicles from our sales lot are sold as-is.
Do you offer financing or payment options?
We offer payment options through Affirm and Sunbit for eligible repairs and service, subject to credit approval and provider terms. These options do not apply to vehicles on our sales lot.
Used car sales
Do you sell vehicles too?
Yes. We offer used cars checked and repaired in our own shop before being offered for sale. Browse our current inventory or contact us to arrange a test drive. All vehicles are sold as-is for the asking cash price; taxes, title transfer, and notary fees are extra.

What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We are closed Sunday. You can book online anytime.
